Don't Need Your Love Socks
Design
I love a combination of ribbing with traveling cables, and this motif uses both to dramatic effect. The use of ribbing creates an easy fitting sock that stretches to fit multiple sizes.
Katherine Parr sings about her conflicted marriage to Henry VIII (who she ultimately outlives) and her love Thomas. When I listen to her song, I imagine the strength she had to protect a part of her heart, creating a safe space for her own happiness, which I hope this cable echoes.
Specs
Finished Measurements: Foot Circumference: 7.5 (10.5, 13.5)”/ 19 (26, 34)cm
I recommend selecting a size that provides 1-2” of negative ease for proper fit.
Yarn: 1 skein of Twist Light by madelinetosh (75% Superwash Merino; 25% Nylon 463 yards/ 423 meters per 3.5 ounce/100 gram skein), shown in colorway: Tart
Needles:US 1 (2.25mm) 40”/100cm circular needle for Magic Loop (or size required to get gauge) Note: A second circular needle in the same size is required for the cuff finishing in the pattern, although you may choose to substitute a different bind-off of your choosing.
